About Pet
Breed : cockatielSex : femaleAge : 5-10 yearsWeight : less than 1 lb.Color : light white+ light gray+ dark blackTattoo/Microchip : noneOther : She may land on your head or shoulder. She won't hurt you. If this happens, try to stay calm and walk inside, she'll happily ride along, then contact me! You may hear her loud whistle (see YouTube, cockatiel "flock call" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uspjVORMHsw). If you see or hear her, you may be able to attract her by rattling a treat bag (some kind of heavy plastic that crackles, like a Trader Joe nut bag). She is a very bright, brave, funny bird but I fear for her in the outdoors. She has no experience in dealing with the sky or finding something below her and flying down to it. Strictly an indoor flyer. She got outside, startled, then flew up and up and drifted away, calling out to me the whole time, but unable to navigate a return. I walked 10 miles yesterday searching for her but no sign. Thanks for reading. " 🐾 Description: "Grey and white cockatiel (very small parrot) with speckled (pied) feather pattern, about 12" beak to tail tip, loves humans, may land on you, does not bite, attracted by rattling heavy plastic treat bag (like a chip bag or Trader Joe nut bag), loves nuts corn chips and millet.
